I bought my first bike today! Unfortunately I haven't gotten to ride it yet, because the weather here of course went to crap after days of nice, right as I get my single day off a week.

It's soooooo sexy. I'm annoyed that my dad rode it a bit but I can't because I don't feel confident in the rain yet. Rain should stop this weekend tho, that'll be sweeeet.

Cool, nice bike. Is that really a 2011 model? My dad has a 54 BSA that looks similar to your bike.

Those aren't the fastest bikes, so you may want to avoid the highway.

Hehe, I live in Texas, it's roughly 90% highway. But there are lots of folks that go under the limit.

Dunno. Maybe after a year or two I'll make some changes...it already has aftermarket mirrors and a light visor on it that the po put on there.

Insurance would probably suck

Aye it is. Apparently they've been making roughly the same bike since forever ago. New Enfields actually qualify for classic categories in bike shows in some states.

Yeah, but those bikes are happiest cruising between 55-65. Much more than that and things, bad things start to happen to the engines. I'm not really a speed freak when I am riding though, so that is just fast enough for me.

How big are you and how do you fit in the bike?

My dad loves these things and I want to buy him one in a year or two but he's 6'6" and I think they might be a little on the small side. Haven't ever seen one in person.

Also do a full review on it once weather permits! I'd love to hear more about it!

I'm pretty happy just cruising along as well, so hopefully won't be too bad.

It looks MUCH smaller in the pictures than it actually is....I'm 5'10" and 290lbs, and it fits me very well. If I were any shorter I wouldn't be able to put both feet down, which suprised me quite a bit when I sat on it.
